  • Spiritual Formation in Christ: A Perspective on What it is and How it Might be Done

"Spiritual formation" is a phrase that has recently rocketed onto the lips and into the ears of Protestant Christians with an abruptness that is bound to make a thoughtful person uneasy. If it is really so important, not to mention essential, then why is it so recent? • Spiritual Transformation of Students at Conservative Wesleyan-Arminian Bible Colleges

The current study proposed to determine the level of spiritual transformation in students at conservative Wesleyan-Arminian Bible colleges and the association of spiritual transformation with selected Bible college activities. A quantitative survey was designed, validated, and implemented to measure students’ selfreported levels of spiritual transformation and their perceptions of how selected Bible college activities influenced their spiritual growth. This survey and its underlying construct were designed in cooperation with the leaders of the colleges. The survey was administered in five colleges to 432 students. Students reported high levels of spiritual transformation, testified that they were practicing the basic spiritual disciplines, and indicated that the Bible college experience is contributing to their spiritual transformation.
